Madison Parks Foundation and Madison Parks present, Snow Glow 2018! February 9, 2018 – Make a day and evening at Elver Park and join us for free, family-friendly winter activities!

McPike Park Dedication – April 4

Join us for McPike Park Dedication as we celebrate the life and legacy of Milt McPike.  The program will include remarks from Mayor Paul Soglin and Madison Parks Foundation Board President, Maureen Lokrantz.  East High School Marching Band will also perform.

Enjoy a view of Lake Monona and the downtown skyline with friends and family all around and a cold drink in your hand. Join us at the Biergarten for good feelings of gemütlichkeit—a unique German word describing friendliness and good cheer!  Don Sanford, author of On Fourth Lake – the Social History of Lake Mendota, will be there to try to answer the question, “Did Madisonians really have more fun on Lake Monona?” during this fun presentation about the social history of Lake Book talk begins at 6 p.m.  15% of all sales will go to support the Madison Parks Foundation.  Hope to see you there!

Makeshift is a food festival that exists to celebrate creativity in the visual & culinary arts and to highlight the rich history of Madison’s Public Spaces – Our Parks.  The event features chefs from Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis & Chicago presenting affordably priced tasting dishes in a family-friendly environment created by local designers and visual artists with the natural beauty of Madison’s parks as their canvas.

We are excited to announce that thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, Makeshift Festival will be free and open to the public!
