Friends of Owen Conservation Park
Friends of Owen Conservation Park
is a volunteer group established in 2019 and dedicated to helping Madison Parks manage the diverse natural communities in our 97 acre westside conservation park. In addition to leading regular restoration work parties, our volunteers gather data about the plants and animals at the park through a wide range of community science programs including Wisconsin Bumblebee Brigade, Monarch Larva Monitoring Project, Integrated Monarch Monitoring Program, Friends of Amphibians, WDNR Bat Roost Monitoring program and others. We sponsor guided educational walks and maintain a free native seed library and cultivated gardens as sites for active education. We are committed to helping our park reach its full potential as a high quality urban natural area and encouraging use of the park to enjoy, learn from and connect with nature. Please support us in continuing this work.
