Parks bring us together

Madison’s parks are more than green space — they’re gathering places, classrooms, launchpads, and lifelines. But tax dollars only go so far. The Madison Parks Foundation helps fill the gap, funding the critical programs, amenities, and accessibility improvements that make our parks truly open to all.

From after-school basketball and teen barbering workshops to all-abilities playgrounds and free outdoor concerts, we invest in the things that bring Madison’s parks to life. And we do it with support from people like you.

Parks For All, Forever

Many of our initiatives are funded by the Parks For All Fund. This unrestricted fund allows the Foundation to support park improvements, accessibility features, community programs, and more—ensuring our parks remain welcoming and vibrant for everyone.

Initiative Spotlight

Goodman Pool Access Scholarships

Since the Goodman Community Pool opened its doors in 2006, the Madison Parks Foundation has teamed up with the Goodman Foundation to provide scholarships for swimming lessons to children and families, no matter their income. We've worked to ensure everyone can enjoy the pool by offering free admission passes to families and local community centers.
We’re also proud to support Goodman Waves, Madison’s only public swim and dive team, by keeping fees affordable and offering scholarships.
Recently, we’ve expanded funding for free life jackets to keep everyone safe while having fun in the water. Plus, the Madison Parks Foundation has invested in CPR equipment for lifeguard training. We invite you to join us in supporting this wonderful initiative. Your help makes a big difference!
